Health Alert:
Early Pregnancy Iron Levels May Influence Gestational Diabetes Risk.
Among a group of 6,429 pregnant women, researchers found that 18.9% developed gestational diabetes and the risk was 27% higher in those whose ferritin levels exceeded 70 µg/L during the first trimester. The findings suggest higher blood iron levels in early pregnancy may indicate an expectant mother may be at elevated risk for this pregnancy complication.

Combined Spinal Manipulation and Neck Exercises Improved Vertigo.

In this clinical trial, patients treated with a combination of spinal manipulation and targeted cervical rehabilitation exercises—an approach commonly used by chiropractors—experienced greater reductions in dizziness, increases in neck muscle strength, and less neck muscle stiffness than those who received conventional treatment.
