Doctors Warn Against Mouth Taping for Sleep.
Despite claims on social media that taping the mouth shut can improve sleep, sleep medicine experts caution that there’s insufficient scientific evidence to support the practice—and it may be dangerous for individuals with sleep apnea or other breathing disorders. Chiropractic:
What Is Lumbosacral Facet Syndrome?
Lumbosacral facet syndrome is a condition in which the small joints connecting the vertebrae in the lower back become irritated or inflamed, causing localized pain that may radiate to the buttocks or upper thighs. Facet joint pain is estimated to contribute to 15–45% of chronic low back pain cases, most often resulting from degeneration or repetitive stress on the joints during daily activities. Spinal manipulative therapy and other manual treatments provided by doctors of chiropractic have been shown to reduce pain and improve mobility and function in affected patients.
